1 - [Purchasing] I’m new to Kickstarter! How does this all work?

To place a pledge for this campaign, click the “Back This Project” button at the top right of the page and follow the instructions there.

At the end of the campaign, Kickstarter will bill you for the value of your pledge. Approximately two weeks after the campaign ends you will receive a survey that confirms your shipping address, as well as the details of what you wanted to pledge for. This is where your final shipping charges and applicable VAT/taxes will be calculated, and we will collect those when the pledge manager closes.

2 - [Gameplay] Is Marvel Dice Throne X-Men an expansion to Dice Throne? Do I need the original to play?

Marvel Dice Throne X-Men is a standalone product, complete and playable by itself.

3 - [Gameplay] Can I just buy Marvel Missions and play it without any heroes?

NO. Marvel Missions is an expansion game, and each player will need one hero (from any version of Dice Throne) in order to play.

4 - [Gameplay] Are these compatible with other Dice Throne products?

Dice Throne is a system and all characters are 100% cross compatible with each other.

5 - [Gameplay] Can the difficulty of each Mission be adjusted?

Missions currently tap out at a ‘native’ difficulty of 5. However, before the end of the campaign, we will share the simple rules to tune any mission up 1-4 additional difficulty steps. This means that if you’d like to Hulk out on a difficulty 9 mission, you are welcome to try your luck (all with the contents included)!

6 - [Purchasing] Are there any Kickstarter exclusives?

The Limited Edition Battle Chest and playmats will ONLY be available for order while the Pledge Manager is open, until January 15, 2024. After that, limited quantities of any remaining product may be available at conventions. There will be a non-Limited Edition version of the Battle Chest available directly from dicethrone.com at a later date. Marvel Dice Throne Missions will also be available directly from dicethrone.com at a later date.

8 - [Purchasing] If I am in Europe, where will this ship from? Will I have to pay VAT?

European destinations will be fulfilled from the UK. VAT is NOT INCLUDED in the pledge price; it will be calculated and collected in the pledge manager. UK and EU customers will not have to pay to receive the game after it has shipped.

9 - [Purchasing] How much do I have to pledge to get access to the pledge manager, while locking in Kickstarter pricing?

We are making an exception to our normal policy for this project and allowing all pledges to gain access to the pledge manager. This includes $1 pledges. Updated to clarify - In the Pledge Manager you will need to upgrade to an existing pledge level in order to select any add-ons.

10 - [Purchasing] Will I be able to add on additional Dice Throne and/or Roxley products in the pledge manager?

Only the items listed on this campaign page are available for order with your pledge. Other Dice Throne and Roxley products may be ordered separately from dicethrone.com and roxley.com.

11 - [Localization] Will Marvel Dice Throne be published or translated into other languages?

The Op and Dice Throne are actively looking at localization opportunities. Due to the tight timelines for the Kickstarter, we will only be able to fulfill this campaign with English versions.

12 - [Shipping] My country isn’t listed in the Shipping Zones! Can I still pledge?

Unfortunately, This project is only available for shipping to countries listed in the Shipping Zones on the main campaign page.

If you have an alternate address in one of the countries we can ship to (such as a relative, friend, or freight forwarder), it is still possible to pledge. Further shipping beyond that address will be at your own risk and responsibility.

13 - [Purchasing] Is there a group pledge? Can multiple backers combine pledges to save costs?

Unfortunately not. We do our best to provide the best possible shipping prices already for our Kickstarter supporters.

We are unable to split up orders into multiple delivery locations. In order to keep everything organized and efficient, we allow a maximum of 1 delivery location per backers, regardless of reward levels or number of copies ordered.

14 - [Retailer] Is there a retailer/FLGS pledge available for brick-and-mortar game stores/cafes?

We are unfortunately not able to offer a retailer pledge for Marvel Dice Throne: X-Men; more information about retail plans can be found on the campaign page.

15 - [Purchasing] What do I need to pledge in order to get the Thor and Mile Morales Spider-Man leaflets?

Any pledge level that includes a game box (Deadpool, Missions, or X-Men Battle Chest) will be eligible for the leaflets. When the pledge manager opens after the campaign, there will be a question you MUST answer asking if you would like this to be added to your pledge rewards. The PDF files will also be available for anyone to print. Please note, physical copies of the leaflets will only be available through this campaign and pledge manager. After this only the PDF will be available.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
